The Lord's Prayer: Pt. 2
Oct 27, 2019 • Josh Huisman
There's a story about a young man who was praying in a church prayer group. As he prayed in front of the group, it became very obvious that he didn't have a good way of communicating. He used slang words that many people probably wouldn't use. And his sentence structure was way off. In fact, there was one member of the group who found is paper style appalling. When the group prayer finished she went up to the young man and said, "You really need to fix your grammar and the way you present your prayers to God." The young man looked at her and said, "I'm sorry you feel that way, but you do know I wasn't talking to you, right?"
God is not impressed with public displays of prayer that have no heart behind them. And God knows our hearts.
