#SAT-01 | Breakfast Club

Saturday Mornings, 9:00am
Various Breakfast Spots
Leaders: Scot & Tonya Whitaker
I’d Like You More If You Were More Like Me:
Getting Real About Getting Close
Join us on Saturday mornings for a tour of some of our community’s favorite breakfast spots. Over breakfast & good conversation, this group will be diving into what it really means to build lasting relationships. We were created for deep connections, and this group seeks to help in overcoming one of the biggest obstacles to making deep connections: the fact that we’re so different from each other. The good news is that connectedness is not based on similarity, but on shared experiences. When one person invites another to share an experience…they’re connected. Don’t miss out on this laid-back group. After breakfast each week, you are welcome to join the leaders in a short hike, weather permitting.

#SUN-01 | General Group

Sunday Mornings, 8:45am
New Hope (Room 4)
Leaders: David Taylor/Synthia Cathcart
Great Lives Series: Joseph – A Man of Integrity and Forgiveness
No family today is more dysfunctional than Joseph’s was. No one faces greater temptation than that which Potiphar’s wife offered Joseph. No faith is challenged more severely than was Joseph’s on death row. Yet Joseph stood firm, exemplifying what is possible when ordinary people maintain their connections with God. Like an epic novel filled with intrigue, tension, and torrential emotions, Joseph’s triumphant story touches us all. This story reveals to us a man buffeted with the same kinds of problems we face today, whose tenacious faith in God ultimately won him great honor and achievement. Join us for what proves to be an exciting Connect Group and an opportunity to learn from the life of an incredible Biblical character that faced the same types of challenges that we face today!

Sunday Nights, 6:00pm
Home Group (Zip Code 37211)
Leader: Pastor Josh
Chase The Lion
Chase the Lion is more than a catch phrase; it’s a radically different approach to life. It’s only when we stop fearing failure that we can fully seize opportunity by the mane. This is a wake-up call to stop living as if the purpose of life was to simply arrive safely at death. Our dreams should scare us. They should be so big that without God they would be impossible to achieve. Quit running away from what you’re afraid of. Join us and let’s learn together how to chase the lion and change the world!

Philippians: To Live Is Christ, To Die Is Gain
Join us as we walk through this most intimate of all Paul’s letters and discover this beautiful picture of what it is to be a mature Christian. The story begins in Philippi where Paul introduces three individuals that were all enslaved by the kind of things that we often choose over the gospel. Their lives portray dysfunction and emptiness, but are totally transformed by the Gospel, giving them a life of purpose. In fact, Paul himself was enslaved and then by God’s grace and mercy he could pen these popular and profound words: To Live is Christ and to Die is Gain. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
