Town Hall, Elder and Deacon Nominations, and All In Baptisms

June 22, 2018

Hello New Hope,

I just wanted to take a minute to update you on what will be happening at church on Sunday.

All In Baptisms
There is still time to sign up for the All In baptisms that will be happening during the worship service. Right now we have a few people signed up and ready to declare to the world that Jesus is their Lord and Savior. If you have never been baptized or you would like to rededicate your life to Christ through baptism, go to the New Hope webpage and click the sign up button! The baptisms will happen as we wrap up our music time in the service.

Ending the Year with a Strong Offering
This is the final Sunday of our fiscal year. As we head into the weekend I ask that you would be in prayer about giving to the church. New Hope is all about Reaching people for Christ, Connecting them to the body of Christ, Growing people in their faith, and Going into the world to make disciples. Each penny given increases how much we can give to missions, and also increases our effectiveness in accomplishing the mission God has given us. Let’s make this last Sunday offering a great one!

Town Hall Meeting
Immediately after the worship service we will be heading to the Fellowship Hall for our end of the year Town Hall meeting. The church is providing the meat, but we ask that all attendees bring a side dish. You can still sign up on the website to let us know how many people to expect. Childcare for toddlers will be provided. Parents are responsible for their older children.

After lunch we will begin the actual meeting time. This will include a presentation of the church’s finances, the presentation of the new proposed budget for 2018-19, and we will hear from our newly nominated elders and deacons. They are as follows:

Elder Nominees
David Bennett
Randy Cathcart

Deacon Nominees
Randy Malchow
Russ Bolton
Eric Roper

We will then cast ballots for the new budget and our board nominees.

One Last Note
Earlier in the week I sent out a blog that said we would be voting on a proposed addition to the constitution. After some discussion, the elders have decided to hold off on that vote until the next Town Hall meeting in September.

As you can see, we have a busy weekend ahead, but I know God will be present through all of it. Let me just say it is an honor to be your pastor. I have been overwhelmed by the wonderful testimonies that many of you have emailed to me. God is certainly moving in the hearts of our people and given so many of you Victory in His Name! The Lord has truly blessed our church!
