Adoring Jesus, Loving People & Equipping the Church

About the New Hope Child Development Center

Welcome to New Hope Community Church Child Development Center in Brentwood. We're a Three-Star childcare facility, as rated by the State of Tennessee's Star-Quality Childcare Program, and our sole purpose is the care and growth of your child. Our teachers and administrators are experienced, our facility clean, safe and fun, and our programs geared to provide the best in Christian childcare, pre-school and enrichment. Check out our website. . . and please come see us. We'd love for you and your child to join our family!

Ages

We enroll infants six weeks old through children five years old year round, with a summer session for students entering kindergarten to age ten.

Capacity

We are licensed for more than 80 children; however, we maintain a lower number to provide for effective children-teacher interaction and as a cushion for unanticipated childcare needs. Our teacher-child ratio meets the Three-Star guidelines, which are more stringent than standard licensing requirements.

Discipline

Positive reinforcement is used along with rewards or redirection of a child's attention to help children learn to listen, remain safe and obey instructions with respect. Corporal punishment is never used. Above all, our objective is that children know they are always safe, loved and capable!

Fees

Tuition is based upon the classroom in which your child is enrolled and is due on Friday for the upcoming week. Please see our director or call for current rates. There is a non-refundable supply/activity/registration fee of $100 due annually, and a pro-rated activity fee is due at the time of enrollment. Both of these ensure we are well-supplied for your children. New Hope Community Church members receive a discount after six months of membership. Any NHCDC parent who refers a child who remains at the CDC for 90 days will receive a week of tuition-free care.

Food

Parents are required to provide lunch for their children. Beginning at the Toddler level, we provide nutritious morning and afternoon snacks, though parents are welcome to provide snacks for their children.

Health and Safety

The health and safety of your children are critical to us. All of our staff is certified in CPR and first aid, and our director is a certified Nurse Technician. Parents are always notified of any issue involving their child's health. Toys and equipment are cleaned and sanitized thoroughly every day and hand washing is a constant habit.

Hours

We are open year round, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. A late fee of $1 per minute is assessed if your child is picked up after 6:00 p.m. The center is closed on most government holidays (see Events Calendar for detailed closure information).

Open Door Policy

Parents are encouraged to visit our Williamson County location any time of the day. In addition, we welcome parent participation in all special events and activities.

Quality

We are a Three-Star childcare center facility, as rated by the State of Tennessee's Star-Quality Childcare Program. This program recognizes childcare providers that meet a higher standard of quality. The Three-Star rating underscores our dedication to safe, healthy children, as well as making sure they're better prepared for ongoing education and life.

Ratio

Our class sizes meet the Three-Star guidelines, which are more stringent than standard licensing requirements set forth by the Tennessee Department of Human Resources. Click http://tnstarquality.org for more information on Tennessee's childcare licensing requirements.

Security

We adhere to a standard process of visitor check-in and security. There is a coded entry into the childcare lobby and children are released only to persons authorized by parents. While some visitors may think our steps sometimes inconvenient, we think it important to ensure our children remain safe and secure.

Staff

NHCDC has a strong staff of qualified teachers and administrators that have more than 160 years combined experience in childcare! Our teachers undergo rigorous interviews and reference checks and, once on staff, must participate in a minimum of 24 hours per year of continuing education and specialized training, including regular in-service training and workshops. More information about our teaching staff can be found here.

Tours

We encourage you to tour our facility! If you're able to call ahead, our staff can more easily accommodate your visit.
