Connecting people to each other, and our Savior Jesus Christ, is the central focus of our weekly Connect Groups here at New Hope Community Church and in the broader community outside our church walls.

New Hope Connect Groups are smaller groups of people meeting throughout the week, both here at the church & throughout the community to study the Bible, make new friends, serve the community and simply do life together.

Winter/Spring 2020 Connect Groups begin the week of January 12th.

If you're new to New Hope and would like to get involved in a Connect Group, we recommend checking out our Sunday Morning Groups as a good way to get plugged in. Stop by the Welcome Desk in the Lobby to find out what groups are open.

General Connect Group (All Invited)
Group Leader: David Taylor & Synthia Cathcart
Location: New Hope - Room 4
Time: Sunday Mornings: 8:30 - 9:45 am

Jim Logan used to think spiritual warfare was a radical idea. That was before he realized just how real it was, especially in the lives of families. In this Connect Group, join David Taylor & Synthia Cathcart as we read and discuss how Reclaiming Surrendered Ground represents the insights gained in those years of study and ministry, and it contains the principles he turned to repeatedly in counseling families. Logan will help you and your family: Become alert to the enemy and his tactics, discover your areas of vulnerability, live freely in Christs victory, don't let the enemy gain ground in your family.

Which nobody likes. But detours are necessary if any improvements are going to be made on the paths we travel. Or if any wreck is going to be cleaned up or a hazard avoided. Detours are designed for our own good, regardless of how we view or feel about them.

WED-04: The Book of Colossians

General Connect Group (All Invited)
Group Leader: Todd & Sheri Hutchison
Location: The Hutchison's Home in Brentwood
Time: Wednesday Nights: 6:00 - 7:30 PM

What we think about Jesus matters. Our perception of Him shapes us—what we say, how we treat others, even what we think. If we paint Jesus as any less than who He is as supreme over all creation and savior of the world, not only does our theology slip, but the working out of our faith also suffers. This semester, Todd & Sheri Hutchison will take us through the book of Colossians to help us form a complete picture of Jesus. What we believe about Him influences everything from our corporate worship to our relationships to our attitude toward sin. Now alive in Christ, we can live a life worthy of God instead of falling back into the ways of the world.
