A Connect Group Needs Your Help…and more

One of Our Connect Groups Needs Your Help
Hey New Hope, I know many of you are hard at work on service projects for your own Connect Group, but one of our groups has come up with a project that may help you clean out the extra books and magazines sitting around your house. Here’s the request:

New Hope’s Tuesday morning Connect Group that is led by David and May Bennett is in need of some assistance for their group service project. Their group has decided to collect and deliver magazines and books to several local Assisted Living and Long Term Care facilities.

The group is asking for gently used magazines and books which are appropriate for senior adults. You can bring those items to the church and place them in the totes provided in the church hallway. Magazines should be current (within the last 18 months).  Large print is particularly helpful, but not required.  If possible, please remove your name and address from the magazines (but if you forget to do this, the group will remove it before delivery).

Collection bins will be available for the next three Sunday’s (November 4, 11, 18).  The materials will be sorted and delivered by the Connect Group.

Thank you in advance for your help with this project!

Please Send in Pictures for Veterans Day

Sunday, November 11 is Veterans Day. For the past several years we have taken a portion of our service and used it to say thank you to our veterans. This year we would like to put together a slide show of pictures that honors Veterans who are near and dear to us. We would like pictures of New Hope’s Veterans and also pictures of your family members who have served our country. The cutoff for sending pictures is Thursday, November 8.

Please send the pictures to Austin Duncan: austin@newhopechurchtn.org

Thank you. Have a blessed week,

Pastor Josh
